ELV digitalises the collection of end-of-life vehicles. The owner describes the car in a short form, gets a price on the spot, books a pickup, and receives the disposal certificate the authorities ask for. What used to be a phone call and a wait is a form and a date.

The Problem: A Quote Nobody Wants to Give

The value of a scrap vehicle depends on a handful of things the owner already knows — make, year, mileage, whether it still runs, whether parts have been removed. The industry standard is to ask the customer to phone and wait for a callback, which loses most of them before the conversation starts.

The competitive analysis behind this product was explicit about it: the quote has to appear while the person is still on the page. Everything else — scheduling, paperwork, the driver's route — happens after the decision is already made.

What We Did: The Form Is the Product

The intake form asks only what changes the price, and it asks it in the language of the person filling it in. In a multilingual market that is not a nicety: it is the difference between a lead and a bounce, and it is why the platform serves its region's languages rather than one.

Behind the form, the operator gets a classified inbox: requests sorted by what they are worth and what they need, pickup scheduling that respects the driver's day, and the certificate generated from the same record instead of retyped.

The Result: In Production, in a Real Market

ELV runs in production in Switzerland, where the regional languages and the paperwork requirements are part of the problem rather than a localisation afterthought. The same platform is what the next operator in another market would run — the market-specific parts are configuration, not a fork.
