Adán Laínez has been writing software seriously since 2006. His path started before the code: networks and maintenance, Linux and systems administration, PHP, design and, finally, platforms and software in production.
Today he brings all of that together into a single responsibility: taking a project from architecture to a system that works.
Adán designs the architecture, writes the application, looks after the experience of using it, and builds and runs the infrastructure it all lives on. And he does not necessarily do it alone.
He leads the projects and the people who complete them. He puts together the team each engagement needs, shares out the work, reviews the decisions and keeps responsibility for the whole. That is the difference between delivering a piece of software and taking charge of making everything work.
Software that reaches production
His experience is built around real software for real clients, on international projects and in multidisciplinary teams. In healthcare he has built production systems for managing medical records at scale, with multi-company and multi-level structures, access control by roles and plans, and processes spanning appointments, billing and telemedicine.
During the pandemic those systems gained video calls and real-time communication through WebRTC, Asterisk and Jitsi. He also built tools able to draw on a patient history to suggest prescriptions. And when a project needs it, the responsibility reaches the infrastructure: servers, operating systems, Nginx, services, backups, security and deployments.
The foundations are already built
Every product starts from an in-house framework inspired by Symfony. Administration, languages, GDPR and backups are solved from day one. The same system can be installed on shared hosting and on a dedicated server alike.
So the project starts where others are still building the base. The result is less time spent reinventing foundations and more budget left for what makes the product different.
